NACDA has been awarded re-funding from the National Institute on Aging (NIA)!
The National Archive of Computerized Data on Aging (NACDA) celebrates re-funding after more than 35 years at ICPSR!
NACDA is excited to announce that we have been awarded re-funding from the National Institute on Aging (NIA)! The new funding cycle supports NACDA’s history and future of providing access to data related to gerontology/ aging populations. NACDA is part of the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR), a unit of the Institute for Social Research (ISR) at the University of Michigan. The mission of NACDA is to support behavioral and social science research on healthy aging worldwide.
Since 1978, NACDA has:
- Shared and preserved data on aging
- Offered resources to support data analysis like conference workshops, webinars, and podcasts and interviews with researchers
- Provided institutional and data user support services and community outreach
- Investigated new ways to add value to longitudinal data resources, such as through our Colectica portal
NACDA’s most downloaded data series include the Midlife in the United States (MIDUS) series, the National Social Life, Health, and Aging Project (NSHAP) series, and the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health (Add Health) Parent Study.
NACDA is proud to offer data resources and support to the research community.
Thank you to NIA for another 5 years to continue this work!
