Administrative Supplement Opportunity
Administrative Supplements to Promote Diversity in Research and Development Small Businesses - SBIR/STTR
Colectica, a Minneapolis-based leader in standards-based research data documentation, is seeking individuals to assist in the development of a data harmonization tool to guide the concordance of variables across datasets and research projects. The position would be funded under an NIH Administrative Supplement, for which the candidate would help create a grant proposal. This opportunity is specifically focused on enhancing the research and entrepreneurial workforce's diversity by recruiting students, post-docs, and eligible investigators from underrepresented groups in health-related research.
This position will support the aims of Colectica’s recently awarded Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grant to create software that uses human-in-the-loop algorithms to create a "recommendation engine" that helps link potentially equivalent or similar data from various inputs. Selected individuals would guide the development of a topic hierarchy and creation of common conceptual variables that work well at describing data across aging studies. Because this grant was awarded by the National Institute on Aging, and the position would analyze aging-related research data and documentation from various NIA-funded longitudinal projects, among other sources.
Interested individuals should contact [dan@colectica.com] with questions. For more information and to determine eligibility, please see the Administrative Supplement announcement.
