Wave V of Add Health Public-Use Data Released!
We are celebrating the release of Wave V of the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health (Add Health), 1997-2008 [Public Use] (ICPSR 21600)! The latest wave collected information on retrospective child health and socioeconomic status, including epigenetic and microbiome measures, as well as social, environmental, behavioral, and biological data used to track the emergence of chronic disease as the Add Health cohort ages. Additionally, Wave V is the first wave to use a mixed mode data collection approach and includes several experiments testing differential response patterns to variations in protocol during early data collection.
Add Health is a longitudinal study of a nationally representative sample of U.S. adolescents in grades 7 through 12 during the 1994-1995 school year. The Add Health cohort was followed into mid-adulthood with five interviews, the most recent conducted in 2018 when the sample was aged 33-43.
