On April 24, 2025, NIH requested that the following language be added to this website: “**UPDATE TO THE PATH STUDY BIOSPECIMEN ACCESS PROGRAM (BAP): As of 4/24/2025, the BAP will be on hiatus and will not accept any new concept statements or applications. We appreciate your interest in the BAP and will provide any updates here.**”

The following are procedures documents and forms that should be used when applying to the PATH Biospecimen Access Program:

PATH Study Biospecimen Access X01 Award Notice: the NIH X01 award notice provides information about the PATH Study biospecimen access opportunity, and the link to instructions and forms for submission of an application to Grants.gov.

PATH Study Biospecimen Access — Policies and Procedures for Investigators: the policy and procedures manual provides information on the PATH Study Biospecimen Access Program and describes the specific policies and detailed procedures that must be followed by investigators to access the PATH Study biospecimen resource.

Download PATH Study Concept Statement template: this template is required for preparation of a concept statement.

PATH Study Material Transfer Agreement (MTA): the PATH Study standard MTA covers transfer of specimens from the PATH Study biorepository to the investigator’s laboratory.
