CivicLEADS Launches New Self-publishing Data Deposit Platform
CivicLEADS is excited and proud to announce the launch of our new data deposit platform, based on the technology of openICPSR. For the past five years, researchers have shared their data with the research community through CivicLEADS's deposit process that required our Curation Team to fully curate the data before they were released and available to the public. The new CivicLEADS open repository allows researchers to upload their data and documentation to our deposit platform and enter a wide variety of descriptive metadata. After reviewing their deposits, researchers can then publish their studies directly to CivicLEADS, at which point the data are live and accessible in the CivicLEADS archive. Depositors are instantly assigned a persistent identifier (DOI) which they can share with colleagues, funders, and publications.
We encourage researchers of civic education, engagement, and youth activism to share their data today with CivicLEADS.
