CivicLEADS Releases Political Engagement Project Data
CivicLEADS recently released the Political Engagement Project (PEP) dataset. These data were collected between 2003 and 2005 and were previously released to researchers from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. After discussions with Dr. Elizabeth Beaumont, one of the study's investigators, CivicLEADS learned that the data were no longer available, and we began the process of archiving the data here. The data originate from a survey of undergraduate students covering four central dimensions of political engagement: knowledge and understanding, skills, motivation, and action. We are grateful to Dr. Beaumont for the opportunity to archive PEP and are excited to make these important data accessible to the research community.
