MIDUS: Midlife in the United States

MIDUS is a U.S. national, longitudinal collection which focuses on the role of psychological, social, and biological factors in accounting for age-related variations in health and well-being among two national samples of Americans. MIDUS is funded by NIA and carried out by the University of Wisconsin Institute on Aging.

The MIDUS series of studies is comprised of mostly public-use data available for direct download. The MIDUS Milwaukee collections are restricted-use only. Secondary researchers will need to apply for access to the restricted data by completing the use agreements for each study.
