Applications Due June 8 – The 2026 ICPSR Research Pilot: Use AI Tools with MET Video Data

The Measures of Effective Teaching (MET) project, funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and stewarded by ICPSR, is one of the largest and most comprehensive studies of K-12 classroom teaching in U.S. history. With over 2,700 teachers in grades 4-9 across six diverse districts, MET provides a rich resource for research and innovation in teaching effectiveness.

ICPSR invites education researchers to apply for a special pilot program to analyze MET classroom video data using AI in our new, secure cloud-based research enclave.

What’s included:
• Access to MET video and survey data in a protected cloud-based environment
• Ability to run advanced analytic and AI models on MET videos

K-12 researchers, methodologists, data scientists, and anyone advancing classroom observation or instructional research.
