The study includes detailed information on all (over 500,000) successfully and unsuccessfully funded Kickstarter projects starting in 2009 through 2020. Since 2009, more than 20 million people have backed a project through Kickstarter and pledged over $6 billion to bring over 205,000 creative projects to life!

The restricted-use Kickstarter data are made available to approved researchers via a Virtual Data Enclave. In the restricted version, researchers will have access to the open-ended variables further describing the Kickstarter projects.
