This special topic poll, fielded March 1-6, 1982, is part of a continuing series of monthly surveys that solicit public opinion on the presidency and on a range of other political and social issues. The focus of this data collection was on national health care. Respondents were queried on the national health care system including whether they were satisfied or dissatisfied with the quality of the doctors and health care in their community, as well as their personal experience with doctors and the health care system in general. Their views were also sought on different issues such as the cost of the health care system, their present health insurance, and a proposal on reducing the cost of health care. Background information on respondents includes age, race, sex, education, religion, marital status, and family income.
