A.J. Million

Dr. A.J. Million is an Assistant Research Scientist at the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research, where he directs the National Archive of Criminal Justice Data. An applied information scientist, A.J.’s work bridges theory and practice to tackle problems in building and sustaining vast knowledge infrastructures. His research pertains to topics including, but not limited to, public-sector technology use, scholarly communication, knowledge infrastructures, research data management, and libraries. The American Association of Universities, the Centers for Disease Control, the Department of Defense, the Department of Justice, the Institute for Museum and Library Services, and the National Science Foundation have funded A.J.’s work. He has published in venues such as Cataloging & Classification Quarterly, College & Research Libraries, Data Science Journal, First Monday, IASIST Quarterly, the Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, and the Journal of Library Administration.

Before joining ICPSR, A.J. was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the University of Michigan School of Information and a Research Librarian for the Missouri Department of Transportation. A.J. earned his Ph.D. in Information Science & Learning Technologies from the University of Missouri.
