Yes.  The ICPSR online deposit form walks you through the study details (metadata) you should provide, and the ICPSR Metadata Documentation Portal offers additional details about the study metadata.  If you need further assistance preparing study metadata before submission, please contact icpsr-help@umich.edu.

As part of data processing, ICPSR staff routinely create variable-level metadata, depending on the level of curation. If you would like to create your own variable-level markup, ICPSR staff are available to provide guidance – just reach out to icpsr-help@umich.edu.
