LGBTQ Data Rescue Hackathon

Join us on May 28 from 121:30 PM ET for an LGBTQ Data Rescue Hackathon hosted by the Williams Institute, the Inter-university Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR), the Data Rescue Project, and the Movement Advancement Project (MAP).

Participants will help identify, document, and rescue publicly available federal datasets that include sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI) measures. This work will support efforts to track changes to the availability of SOGI-related data and preserve information that is important for research, policy, and advocacy.

No advanced technical experience is required. Attendees will receive guidance on how to locate, review, and document relevant materials. Comfort with internet research, navigating websites, and/or familiarity with downloading data is welcomed.
