What is a favorite memory or instance you have working at ICPSR? What makes ICPSR a great place to work?

The people at ICPSR make this place a great place to work. They are genuinely kind and are compassionate about what they do and who they work with.

Where are you from?

Ann Arbor, MI

What is your favorite part of your job?

Data releases! Preparing data for archiving and secondary analysis requires lots of behind-the-scenes work with multiple collaborators, so it’s satisfying to know that we, as a team, amplified the impact of the research data by making them available, findable, and usable to future researchers and beyond!

How long have you worked here?

3.5 years

What do you do when not at work?

Playing and teaching board games, running around a Pickleball Court, making a mess at the pottery studio, walking around Parker Mill + Gallup Park, and cooking at the Food Gatherer’s Community Kitchen.

What have you read/viewed/listened to/etc. recently?

The Teenage Ninja Mutant Turtles movie was a total blast! SO much fun!

What might surprise us about you?

I’m the first in my family to be born in the United States.

Anything else that you’d like to share with us?

I pivoted from working at a local non-profit to working as a data curator, where I started at ICPSR.
