How do I log out from the VDE?

When logging out of the VDE, please do not just close the VDE window. There are two options for logging out.

1. “Logoff” – This completely logs you out and stops all processes. Use this option whenever possible, as it frees up resources for other researchers.
2. “Disconnect” – Use this only if you need to temporarily log out while leaving a process running (e.g., a long syntax job). Note that all processes will time out around the 12 hour mark regardless. Failure to use the “Logoff” option is a primary reason others see the “All machines are busy” message. Please be diligent and fully log off when possible.
