Read the fourth Issue Brief from SBE CCC: “Telehealth improved access to prenatal care during the pandemic while disparities in care persisted.” The COVID-19 public health emergency accelerated the adoption of telehealth for prenatal care. A new study shows that timeliness of starting care and number of prenatal care visits completed improved for pregnant individuals utilizing telehealth, however racial and ethnic disparities were exacerbated.
