ICPSR honors the ICPSR Administration Team as the 2025 Innovators of the Year! The Admin Team was selected for designing and leading an all-new budgeting and forecasting process that underlies all of ICPSR’s financial planning.

Thanks to J.D. Alford, Michelle Evanchuk, Holly Neilson, Darleen Poisson, and Fillippo Stargell for developing and rolling out this process earlier this year. A testimonial from ICPSR Council Member (and Finance Committee Chair) Jon Cawthorne called out the Admin Team for “their tireless hard work, creativity, and dedication in developing this process. The new approach has led to more sound operational decisions, hiring the right people, and more leaders understanding and appreciating the budget process.”

The team received their award at the ICPSR All Staff meeting on September 23rd. The committee also wanted to note that the submissions this year were stellar! Thank you to the committee and congratulations to the ICPSR Administration Team!

History of the Award

Permanent ICPSR staff and faculty (full- or part-time) with a minimum of six months’ service from all units, departments, and positions are eligible for this award. The award includes a monetary prize, a personalized trophy, and some ICPSR swag!
