Newly Available: Tsogolo La Thanzi (TLT) Verbal Autopsy Data
Tsogolo la Thanzi (TLT) is a longitudinal study in Balaka, Malawi designed to examine how young people navigate reproduction in an AIDS epidemic.
The Verbal Autopsy data details 36 respondents who died over the study period (2009-2019). While these deaths were confirmed, not all respondent groups were re-interviewed, thus the total number of deaths from the original sample may be higher than 36. Data here includes details provided by relatives of the deceased about the death, symptoms leading up to death, symptoms and signs associated with illness, and any details related to testing, results, and treatment for HIV/AIDS.
