Where do you work and what is your job title?

University of California San Diego; Data Science Librarian

What is a favorite memory or instance you have working with ICPSR? What makes ICPSR a great place?

My favorite memory is the origin story of Data Jeff. As a new data librarian, I was thrilled to find fellow data enthusiasts at ICPSR who agreed that data could be fun and engaging. [Read the original Data Jeff thread from Love Data Week 2019]

Where are you from?

California

What is your favorite part of working with ICPSR?

I enjoy learning about the new datasets that get added. Plus, it's extra exciting when researchers at my institutions are the ones depositing data at ICPSR.

How long have you worked with ICPSR?

I've been the OR for UC San Diego for the past 6 years.

What do you do when not at work?

As befitting a librarian, I read a lot when I'm not at work. I also spend my free time taking advantage of all San Diego has to offer!

What have you read/viewed/listened to/etc. recently?

I attended the American Library Association annual conference this year and picked up a bunch of free books. I've got quite the "to be read" pile!
