Revamped Study Pages Open Doors to Smoother Data Navigation
Great news for data enthusiasts: ICPSR has enhanced its study pages, making navigating social and behavioral science data much smoother.
Changes include:
- Easier identification of datasets that have been enhanced by ICPSR professional curators and easier identification of datasets that are self-published. Also, easier identification of datasets with online analysis capabilities and datasets that require restricted-use applications—no more guesswork.
- Codebooks (those super-detailed data guides) are now available without downloading, opening easily in a new tab! It's the little things that make a researcher's day, right?
- The "Explore Data" feature is front and center so you can jump straight into the data deep end.
These changes are about more than just looking good. The revamped study pages are flexible and display a variety of information depending on the type of data being described. ICPSR data users may notice it’s become easier to reach ICPSR’s data goldmine via Google and others because changes are optimized for search engines.
Check out the new design – study pages have already rolled out on studies within the National Neighborhood Data Archive (NaNDA), and will systematically roll out to all studies hosted by ICPSR.
ICPSR's site updates are a win-win for data users and the dedicated curators who make and keep ICPSR data accessible.
