Today we salute dedicated data steward Mary Vardigan, Assistant Director of ICPSR, upon her retirement.
Mary has had a significant hand in shaping the organization for 30 years. In addition to serving as ICPSR editor and directing ICPSR’s Collection Delivery Unit, Mary also has served as Director of the Data Documentation Initiative (DDI), and is involved in other international projects related to data stewardship, including the Data Seal of Approval, the Research Data Alliance, and various efforts to promote data citation.
