ICPSR Council Member Barbara Schneider voted president-elect of AERA
Barbara Schneider, the Hannah Distinguished Professor in the Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology and Special Education at Michigan State University and a member of the ICPSR Council since 2010, has been voted president-elect of the American Educational Research Association. She will take the office at the end of the AERA Annual Meeting April 13-17 in Vancouver, BC.
Schneider's research interests focus on family, the social context of education, and particularly on improving educational opportunities for students with limited economic and social resources.
