Webinar: Accessing and Using Data from the American Indian and Alaska Native Head Start Family and Child Experiences Survey 2019 (AIAN FACES 2019)
Announcement
- Join us for a webinar about accessing and using data from the American Indian and Alaska Native Head Start Family and Child Experiences Survey 2019 (AIAN FACES 2019)
When: December 8th, 2021 from 1-2pm ET
AIAN FACES 2019 is a source of national data about Region XI AIAN Head Start children and families during the program year of 2019-2020. The majority of children participating in Region XI Head Start are AIAN (87 percent based on the fall 2019 AIAN FACES data). AIAN FACES 2019 collected information to describe the strengths and needs of all children in Region XI, describe their experiences in Head Start, and understand the cultural and linguistic experiences of Native children and families in Region XI AIAN Head Start. In addition, to capture how Region XI programs and centers responded to the COVID-19 pandemic, AIAN FACES 2019 added questions to the spring 2020 program director and center director surveys related to how programs and centers adjusted their services and communications with families and staff during the health emergency. The webinar will provide researchers and analysts with:
- An introduction to the American Indian and Alaska Native Head Start Family and Child Experiences Survey 2019 (AIAN FACES 2019) and data set
- Data file structure and conventions
- Data user resources
- Tips for working with the AIAN FACES 2019 data
- An orientation to the Child & Family Data Archive website
- The process for data access
- Resources and upcoming study plans
