Access and Use Data from the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Policies Database, 2009-2019
- Join us for a webinar about accessing and using data from the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) Policies Database, 2009-2019
When: May 19, 2021 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM EDT
The Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) provides federal money to states and territories to help low-income families obtain quality child care so they can work, attend training, or receive education. The CCDF Policies Database is a source of information on the detailed policies states and territories use to operate child care subsidy programs under CCDF. Data are currently available for policies from October 2009 through October 2019.
The CCDF Policies Database project supports the needs of a variety of audiences through (1) analytic data files, (2) a project website and search tool, and (3) an annual report (Book of Tables). These are made available to researchers, administrators, and policymakers with the goal of addressing important questions concerning the effects of alternative child care subsidy policies and practices on the children and families served. The webinar will provide researchers and analysts with:
- An overview of the CCDF Policies Database;
- Information on data collection and review;
- CCDF 2019 data files and documentation;
- Information on the CCDF 2019 data file structure;
- Considerations when using the CCDF 2019 data; and
- Information on accessing the data.
