Streamlined Online Analysis Available for Testing
ICPSR has created a streamlined interface for SDA using its built-in XML export capabilities. The new interface improves SDA in the following ways:
- Adds drag and drop for selecting row/column/filter/control.
- Moves display changes to output screen so that variable selection is simpler.
- Streamlines handling of weights by removing weight selection if only one weight is available (and required).
You can view this on the ICPSR Web site for all studies with SDA objects. Just look for the "run simple crosstab/frequency" link in the Dataset(s) section of the study home page.
The goal of this project was to create a simpler crosstab interface for grad students and undergrads and to build a foundation for further development, such as adding the ability to export a result table to PowerPoint or Excel.
