Deadline Approaching for ICPSR Research Paper Competitions!

The deadline for submissions for the 2014 Research Paper Competitions is Friday, January 31, 2014. Click here to view entry details for each competition.
 
  • ICPSR Research Paper Competition -- For papers on any topic using data from the ICPSR General Archiveor Thematic Collections. Awards: $1,000 for first place, $750 for second place. There are separate undergraduate and master's prizes for this competition.

 

  • RCMD Research Paper Competition -- For papers on issues relating to minorities in the United States, including immigrants, using data from the Resource Center for Minority Data. Awards: $1,000 for first-place award, and $750 for second-place award. Entrants must be current undergraduate students or recent graduates of bachelor's degree programs.

 

  • IFSS Research Paper Competition -- For papers on any topic using data from the Integrated Fertility Survey Series. Awards: $1,000 for a single first-place award, $750 for a single second-place award. There are not separate awards for undergraduates and master's students.

 

  • NAHDAP Research Paper Competition -- This is a new category added for 2014, for papers on issues relating to drug addiction or HIV using data from the National Addiction and HIV Data Archive Program. Awards: $1,000 for a single first-place award, $750 for a single second-place award. There are not separate awards for undergraduates, master's students, or PhD students.
