Data webinar – CivicLEADS: The resource you didn’t know your research needed
ICPSR will host a webinar Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 1:00-2:00PM EST (10:00-11:00AM PST) discussing its Civic Learning, Engagement, and Action Data Sharing (CivicLEADS) project and how you can use CivicLEADS for your research.
Civic engagement, civic discourse, and civic education have become increasingly popular research topics in recent years. Researchers from a wide variety of disciplines study civic education, civic action, and the many relationships between the two. For the past several years, CivicLEADS has been helping researchers share and access high-quality datasets to study civic education and involvement. This free webinar provides information on the collection of publicly-available data we have archived at CivicLEADS.org as well as use cases of how other researchers are using our resources. As a webinar participant, you will:
- Learn about CivicLEADS and how to access the data and tools the project provides;
- See clear examples of how the tools and resources of CivicLEADS can facilitate and further your own research; and
- Provide feedback to CivicLEADS’s staff on how the project can better support your work.
