Neighborhoods as a Social Determinant of Health Webinar
Hello all!
Our webinar on Neighborhoods as a Social Determinant of Health was a success! Drs. Philippa Clarke and Marilyn Sinkewicz from the University of Michigan discussed how local contexts can “get under the skin” to shape health disparities. Using data from the National Neighborhood Data Archive (NaNDA), the presenters highlighted the diverse pathways by which neighborhood characteristics can shape health, such as socioeconomic structure, health care access, transportation, broadband internet access, and political partisanship.
