NEA Research Awards
Are You Interested in Conducting Research on the Arts?
Each year, the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) funds research projects that investigate the value, benefits, and/or impact of the arts within the U.S. arts ecology or as they relate to other areas of life. NEA’s Research Grants in the Arts fund both the collection and analysis of data (primary data projects) and analysis projects based on existing data (secondary data projects). Similarly, the NEA Research Labs Programs support longer-term research agendas of transdisciplinary research on the benefits of the arts to both the arts and non-arts sectors of American life.
Guidelines for each year are typically posted in January with submissions due in late March. For more information, please see NEA’s Research Awards website.
