Biography:

Mark Pickup (Ph.D., University of British Columbia) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Nottingham. He is also a Visiting Fellow in the Department of Politics at the University of Oxford, where he is a member of the Research Centre for Methods in the Social Sciences. Mark is a specialist in Comparative politics, with a particular interest in public opinion and democratic representation within North American and European countries. His research focuses on public opinion, the media, election campaigns and democratic responsiveness. His methodological interests focus on longitudinal data analysis and Bayesian statistics.
