Brian R.W. Baucom, PhD., is an Assistant Professor of Clinical and Quantitative Psychology at the University of Utah. His research focuses on behavioral and emotional processes in romantic relationships, cognitive behavioral couple therapies, and the development and application of technology facilitated data acquisition methods as well as computational modeling methods for intensively measured behavioral and emotional data. He is particularly interested in the application of dynamical systems models and machine learning methods to complex questions related to relationship outcomes. His work has been funded by the Department of Defense, multiple institutes at the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, the Volkswagon Foundation, and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft.
