John Skvoretz

John Skvoretz is a professor in the Sociology Department at the University of South Florida. His research interests include such theoretical methods as measurement and representation, simulation, stochastic processes, and formal modeling and analysis. They also include, in group processes and social psychology, issues of status organizing processes and effects on participation in group discussions, power processes in network exchange, and models of dominance structure formation. In addition, his interests in network analysis and modeling include random and biased net models, diffusion of disease and information, the small world problem, and population differentiation and and network structure. Finally, his interests also in the structures of action-language and grammars of action, production system models of social behavior, and feasibility analysis of action strings.
