Elizabeth Menninga

Elizabeth Menninga is an Assistant Professor in the political science department at the University of Iowa. She received her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2015, specializing in International Relations and Political Methodology. Her primary research agenda focuses on the effectiveness of international mediation in intrastate wars. Other current projects develop and apply multiplex modularity, a measure of network connectivity, to studies of international conflict. She teaches undergraduate courses in international relations and research methods as well as graduate statistics courses. In 2019 she received the Collegiate Teaching Award from the University of Iowa College of Liberal Arts & Sciences.
