Skyler Cranmer is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His research focuses on network science applied to the study of international relations, particularly the role of topology in modeling complex networks and forecasting their evolution. His goal in these efforts is to develop network based theories, innovative statistical methods and estimation strategies for network analysis, and policy relevant predictions. His work makes heavy use of MCMC for estimation and Bayesian methods more generally.
