Saundra K. Schneider is Professor and Director of the Master's of Public Policy Program in the Department of Political Science at Michigan State University. She received her Ph.D. in Political Science from Binghamton University. Her main research and teaching interests focus on public policy and research methodology. Her current research examines the policy priorities of the American states, the role of administrative influences in social welfare program developments, the linkages between public opinion and public policy, and the effectiveness of governmental responses to natural disasters. She teaches graduate and undergraduate courses on the public policy process, bureaucratic politics, social policy development, crisis management, policy analysis and evaluation, methodology and research design, and regression analysis.
