This workshop will assist the University of Michigan Bioinformatics and other computational PIBS graduate trainees in developing their expertise and data management workflows that follow best practices for designing, documenting, testing, and sharing research methods and data -- not just results. Topics will include:

  1. Rigorous study designs
  2. Data management, QC, and Lifecycle
  3. Coding best practicing – transparency, versioning and testing
  4. The FAIR principles
  5. Data and code dissemination - repositories and social media

Content is tailored specifically for the needs of the bioinformatics, and more generally, a broader spectrum of biomedical graduate student trainees.

Eligibility: Pre-doctoral and Master’s trainees in a University of Michigan PIBS Program are eligible to attend the workshop.

Workshop daily Time Schedule: 8:45a.m. – 2:15p.m.
