ICPSR to award $20,000 challenge grants for projects on open access and data stewardshipICPSR is pleased to announce a Challenge Grants program funded by the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. Through this program, ICPSR will fund innovative projects to promote open access to data, support research transparency, improve data citation, and more generally build good practice in data management and stewardship. ICPSR expects to award three to five grants of up to $20,000 each. Proposals are due on April 15, 2013.
For example, we're looking for projects that will result in published articles in peer-reviewed journals or presentations at major conferences; research on the costs of data archiving or on data replication practices; or innovative business models for data repositories.
