The goals of this project were: (1) to estimate up-to-date levels of unintended pregnancy for the United States and key sociodemigraphic subgroups, including age, marriage and union status, poverty status, race/ethnicity, education, religious affiliation, and immigration status; (2) to analyize the relative contributions of key intermediate factors to differences in unintended pregnancy rates over time and across sociodemographic subgroups; and (3) to estimate up-to-date contraceptive use-failure rates.
