Summary

This survey was designed to collect data on students currently enrolled in occupational programs in public and private noncollegiate postsecondary schools in the United States and Puerto Rico. Data were collected on students' age, sex, racial/ethnic background, current employment, future educational and employment plans, and parental background.

Sample

The sample of schools was chosen from the 1980 Postsecondary Career School Survey and consists of 404 public and private noncollegiate postsecondary schools and a total of 7,977 students.

Universe

Students attending occupational programs in public and private noncollegiate postsecondary schools in the United States and Puerto Rico.
