(This student has had several applied statistics courses, understands the principle of a linear model at approximately the level of Wonnacott and Wonnacott's Econometrics, and is knowledgeable in the basic principles of matrix algebra):

Workshops form the core of the Summer Program's curriculum. Participants may elect one or two workshops, with two workshops constituting a full load. The purpose of the lectures is to broaden and enrich the participant's experience. Hence they are supplemental to the workshops.
