The following are announcements from the Substance Abuse and Mental
Health Data Archive (SAMHDA):
New Online Analysis (SDA) Interface Released
SAMHDA has upgraded the interface for Survey Documentation and Analysis
(SDA), its online data analysis system. The new interface provides
increased functionality and navigation. Users may still use the original
interface by selecting the link in the upper-left hand corner of the new
interface entitled "Use Classic Interface." All of the statistical
procedures are available as they were previously. One major difference
in the new interface is that users no longer need to open the codebook
in a separate browser to view variables. Also, users can now switch
between the various statistical procedures without having to return to
the main analysis page. For more information on these changes, please
read our Frequently Asked Question (FAQ), "What enhancements are
available when using SDA 3.1? The link to the FAQ is

(ASAM)Annual Conference in Toronto April 10-12. See the ASAM Web site

We appreciate the appropriate citation for analyses using data obtained
from SAMHDA. Each SAMHDA study description and codebook includes a
suggested bibliographic citation for the data. For more information on
appropriately citing electronic data files, see

We welcome the submission of citations for publications based on our
data holdings for our online citations database. Use the Web form on the
following page for submitting citations:
http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/SAMHDA/ref-form.html. You may submit papers,
book chapters, etc. that are not yet published and we will track and add
them to the database once they are published. To access the citations
database, select the "related literature" link for a given study or
series.
