The following are updates from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health
Data Archive (SAMHDA):
New:
2006 Treatment Episode Data Set (TEDS) released:
The data and documentation files for the 2006 TEDS study are now
available for download and online analysis.

Quick Tables updates for the 1992-2005 TEDS:
1992-2005 TEDS Quick Tables and 1992-2005 Concatenated TEDS Quick Tables
have been updated to expand the number of Primary Substances of Abuse

Updated Data Use Tutorial:
Our Data Use Tutorial was recently expanded and updated; view the

Upcoming:
Within the next two weeks, we expect to release the 2006 TEDS for Quick
Tables and updates to the 2000-2005 TEDS. Once these updates are
completed, a new 1992-2006 TEDS Concatenated file will be available for
online analysis.
SAMHDA will exhibit at the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM)
Annual Conference in Toronto April 10-12. See the ASAM Web site for more

SAMHDA will also present at this year's Substance Abuse Librarians and
Information Specialists (SALIS) Annual Meeting in Seattle, Washington in

Ongoing:
We appreciate the appropriate citation for analyses using data obtained
from SAMHDA. Each SAMHDA study description and codebook includes a
suggested bibliographic citation for the data. For more information on

We welcome the submission of citations for publications based on our
data holdings for our online citations database. Use the Web form on the
following page for submitting citations:

book chapters, etc. that are not yet published and we will track and add
them to the database once they are published. To access the citations
