The following are updates from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health
Data Archive (SAMHDA):
New:
A new tutorial based on our online analysis program, Survey
Documentation and Analysis (SDA), provides help using codebooks and
analyzing data within the cross-tabulation program. Links to the SDA
tutorial are provided on our homepage under "Can't find what you're
looking for?" and from "Analyze Data Online". You may also access the
SDA tutorial directly from http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/SAMHDA/tutorial.
Upcoming:
Visit SAMHDA's exhibit booth (#107) at the American Public Health
Association Conference (APHA), November 3-7 at the Washington Convention
Center (WCC), Washington, D.C. Exhibit hours are: 2 pm - 5:30 pm Sunday,
9:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday and Tuesday, and 8:30 am - 12:30 pm Wednesday.
Ongoing:
We appreciate the appropriate citation for analyses using data obtained
from SAMHDA. Each SAMHDA study description and codebook includes a
suggested bibliographic citation for the data. For more information on
appropriately citing electronic data files, see

We welcome the submission of citations for publications based on our
data holdings for our online citations database. Use the Web form on the
following page for submitting citations:
http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/SAMHDA/ref-form.html. You may submit papers,
book chapters, etc. that are not yet published and we will track and add
them to the database once they are published. To access the citations
database, select the "related literature" link for a given study or
series.
