The following are updates from SAMHDA:
(1) The 2002 Monitoring the Future files have been released. To access all
MTF files, see http://www.icpsr.umich.edu:8080/SAMHDA-SERIES/00035.xml
(2) The Alcohol and Drug Services Study (ADSS) has been updated to include
the Cost Study. This is Part 12 of the ADSS data collection. Also, selected
revenue and client count variables in the Phase I facility and Phase II
administrator data files (Parts 1 and 2) were updated for consistency with
corresponding data from the Cost Study. For all ADSS files, see
http://www.icpsr.umich.edu:8080/SAMHDA-DISPLAY/03088.xml
(3) OAS has released a report on using Quick Tables, available at
http://www.samhsa.gov/oas/2k3/QuickTabs/QuickTabs.cfm
(4) Static bibliographic pages for all studies have been replaced by our
searchable Bibliography of Data-related Literature. This is a database of
bibliographic citations of publications based on SAMHDA and ICPSR data
holdings.
To find citations for a given study in SAMHDA, go to the study or series
page (e.g., for the NHSDA / NSDUH:
http://www.icpsr.umich.edu:8080/SAMHDA-SERIES/00064.xml), and then click on
"related literature" near the top of the page). For single study data
collections, this takes you to the list of publications. For series data
such as the NSDUH or MTF, next click on the related literature link for the
year of the study in which you are interested. Publications spanning more
than one year of the data are listed for each year included in the
publication (e.g., "Extent of smoking and nicotine dependence in the United
States: 1991-1993," which is based on the NHSDA, is listed for the 1991,
1992, and 1993 NHSDA's).
To search citations from all ICPSR holdings, click on the "Publications"
link from the SAMHDA frontpage (http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/SAMHDA) and type
in keywords in the search box or select the "advanced search" link. To
submit additional citations for the database, click on the "submission"
link on the Publications page.
