The full archival release of the 2001 National Household Survey on Drug
Abuse (NHSDA) is now available at:
http://www.icpsr.umich.edu:8080/SAMHDA-SERIES/00064.xml. Click on "Download
Data" to access all data and documentation files. The 2001 NHSDA was
previously released on the online data analysis system (DAS); files on the
DAS are accessible from the same link as the data and documentation files
under the "Online Analysis" heading.
The 2000 Treatment Episode Data Set (TEDS) is now available on the DAS at:
http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/cgi-bin/SDA12/hsda?samhda+teds00. The full
archival release is expected within the next two weeks. In the meantime,
you may use the DAS run analyses online or to download the ASCII data and
SAS, SPSS, or Stata data definition statements (DDS). Please call our
helpline if you need assistance or refer to the announcements archive
(specifically:
http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/pipermail/samhda-announcements/2002-September/000001.html)
for instructions on how to download data and DDS files using the DAS.
The Substance Abuse Treatment Cost Allocation and Analysis Template
(SATCAAT) Study is also now available on the archive and DAS at the
following link: http://www.icpsr.umich.edu:8080/SAMHDA-DISPLAY/03401.xml.
SATCCAT is a unit cost protocol based on cost accounting methods and
standards for collecting substance abuse treatment cost data. This protocol
provides a uniform accounting system for treatment providers that
ultimately translates costs by category into costs by unit of service.
SAMHDA is sponsored by the Office of Applied Studies (OAS), Substance Abuse
and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA):
