** 2001 NHSDA available:

The 2001 NHSDA files are now available from FastTrack at the following 
link: http://www.icpsr.umich.edu/SAMHDA/fasttrack.html. From this page, 
click on "FastTrack"; on the next page, click on the folder for the NHSDA 
(currently the last link); and finally, click on the folder for "2001" for 
a listing of the available files. The NHSDA files on FastTrack include the 
data in two formats: as a SAS system file and as an SPSS portable file. The 
codebook is in several Word Perfect files. The readme file specifies the 
contents of each file. Clicking on the hypertext links of files on 
FastTrack will initiate a File Transfer Protocol (FTP) download of the 
files to your local disk.

This release of the 2001 file marks the earliest that the public use NHSDA 
files have ever been completed.
