Excellent! And I have to agree with the comment on "Archiving" - we are
always explaining that we mean any organization maintaining the data and
metadata, so perhaps a name change is in order when we get to the next major
version.

DDI 3.1 has been approved, although the vote is still open through
Friday. Here are the comments received so far:

XNGAJY: I am voting in favour of 3.1, although I am concerned that we
continue to have a module identified in the Combined Life Cycle model as
"Data Archiving," which as a verb implies that preservation activities
occur in this module that should be occurring throughout the life cycle.
Simply changing it from "Archiving" to "Archive" would be an
improvement. It would be better to call the module "Data
Repository/Archive", which is closer to today's discourse around digital
preservation concepts.
