Janet:
just to complement Wendy's inputs:
- The SurveyLang survey instrument (http://www.surveylang.org) I'm
working on with Jostein use an internal XML based on DDI 3.0 (so export
to DDI 3 will be possible).
- I'm also working on question bank for the International Household
Survey Network (http://www.surveynetwork.org) whose internal XML is
likewise based on DDI 3 (likewise, export to DDI 2 or 3 will be possible)
- I have recently received a new version of the metadata export tool for
CSPro (http://www.census.gov/ipc/www/cspro/) that produces DDI 2
compliant metadata. Support for DDI 3 is planned (but I need to write
the CSPro-XML to DDI 3 transform). This will later on also be integrated
in the CSPro package.
I expect outputs for these projects to become available second half of
this year (SurveyLang is for 2010).
I'm also talking to other agencies interested in 3.0 but too early to
share info.
best
