Dear Mary,
Thank you for for sending the fact sheets and especially also for uploading the DDI asset. Your page is now visible to the public:
http://www.semic.eu/semic/view/sprj/ddi-alliance.xhtml?cid=112340
To show your commitment to SEMIC.EU you may use the "provider" banner as you now take part in the group of content contributors. We are always happy for receiving back links to www.semic.eu<http://www.semic.eu>
What can be the next steps of collaboration?
a) I suggest you to "request maturity" of your Asset on SEMIC.EU. Afterwards our clearing process manager will examine more in detail your intensive work done and the Asset may consequently receive the advanced status of a "mature Asset"
b) We will soon list up "domain experts" on SEMIC.EU, perhaps you know someone in your domain that would like to be listed as Domain Expert on SEMIC.EU?
c) If you want you may present yourself our the DDI Alliance on our forum and explain more in detail. You could answer to questions such as :
1. Why did you create the DDI?
2. What is the target audience for the DDI
3. What are reference implementation of the DDI?
4. What are advantages and disadvantages when using DDI?
5. What are the exact relations of the DDI towards DCMI and SDMX (I know it is written in the documentation, but it would be helpful to find some phrases in the forum also)

Thanks again for your collaboration, feel free to call me in case of further information needed.
Best wishes,
Sebastian

Subject: [DDI] advocating DDI on semic.eu?
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
My name is Sebastian Sklarß and I am Chief Stakeholder Manager of the SEMIC.EU service and I just got to know the DDI Alliance by looking for incoming links.
The Semantic Interoperability Centre Europe, (www.semic.eu<http://www.semic.eu/>) is an EU-Project to support the data exchange for pan-European e-Government services.
With the ongoing process of European integration, data exchange between Member States becomes more and more important.
SEMIC.EU calls on projects and individuals alike to share their solutions for semantic interoperability (so called "assets") or to find them through a joint effort.
The DDI Alliance seems to work on semantic interoperability concerns and there XML data exchange formats might be interesting to national and Pan-European egovernment projects.
This is why we kindly invite you
1.) to register on SEMIC.EU (as individual or person, as you like)
2.) to list you as a SEMIC.EU Partner (therefore I send you our partner factsheet) or as a Partner Project
3.) to upload your semantic building blocks (XML, DTD) in our repository of semantic interoperability assets in order to allow a reuse.
In case of any questions or further information wanted please do not hesitate to contact me,
Kind regards,
Sebastian Sklarß

All:
Someone pointed out to us last week that the Semantic Interoperability
Center Europe at:
http://www.semic.eu<http://www.semic.eu/>
might be a good place to advocate DDI
For info, see http://www.semic.eu/semic/view/snav/About_SEMIC.xhtml
I would suggest for the UOG to create a generic account for the DDI
Alliance and submit DDI as a new asset at:
http://www.semic.eu/semic/view/Account/Login.xhtml?cid=3346
Noticed that SDMX was recently added to the list:
http://www.semic.eu/semic/view/Asset/Asset.SingleView.xhtml?id=89
(this is the only asset listed in the "Social Affairs" category)
best
