Dear all:
This is to inform you that the second issue of the World Bank 
Accelerated Data Program (ADP) has been published on the International 
Household Survey Network (IHSN) web site at http://www.surveynetwork.org 
(see announcement on home page). It provides an update on data and 
metadata related activities in over 30 countries and showcases the rapid 
progress being made by agencies around the world in the area of data 
archiving and dissemination. The newsletter includes updates on tools 
and guidelines and an announcement regarding the establishment of the 
African Association of Statistical African Association of Statistical 
Data Archivists (AASDA), an initiative of some ADP participating 
countries to mobilize African data archivists into an effective 
community of practice.
The IHSN has also recently published a draft document on "Policy 
Guidelines and Recommendations for the Dissemination of Microdata Files" 
that you might find of interest. The document is open for review and 
comments.
